From finding new clients to producing cutting edge solutions, Virginia’s strategic mindset and ability to actualize big picture goals makes her role at Diamond Oscar-worthy.

Describe your role at Diamond.

My role with Diamond is within the sales department. I am responsible for identifying, scoping, quoting and closing new opportunities for direct response marketing. I generally develop solutions for my clients that involve multiple channel direct marketing to solve a marketing challenge anywhere in the customer journey cycle.

What makes you good at your job?

I believe a strength of mine is the ability to bridge the big picture marketing goals and objectives and mold it into actionable marketing strategy and tactics. By providing this roadmap, it is easier for others to then lead out on the development of the campaign in terms of audience targeting, copy and design, and tactical production specifications, which, in turn, brings the full campaign to life.

Is there a specific moment or memory that stands out in your years with the company?

Yes, meeting and working with Cyndi Greenglass, our Senior Vice President of Strategic Solutions. I was out on maternity leave when Cyndi began working with our boutique direct marketing agency. Upon return, we were introduced, and she had an exciting new client opportunity for us to work on together. From that moment on, Cyndi and I have worked together on many new initiatives and prospect opportunities. Many times, we have pushed the envelope on what our company could provide our clients in complex online and offline marketing solutions.

What is the most challenging aspect of your job?

Being innovative. May sound silly, but it is easy to get stuck into being too task oriented instead of finding the time to read industry reports and allowing quiet time to think about the learnings and their possible applications. This is a really important aspect of my job, and clients rely on me to think strategically and bring industry best practices and cross vertical successes to the forefront so we can consider how to implement into their marketing schema.

What do you think will change about this organization over the next five years?

I think OSG will continue to grow in both the depth of their product offering and expansion of services within their products. With the number of companies within the marketing services umbrella, we will see synergy of the omni-channel communication and more integrated solutions for our clients across the customer journey. This offering will be unified within the OSG brand and work as a single client experience. Data security and privacy will continue to push communication companies to be compliant and transparent as domestic and international government regulation grows to protect consumers. OSG will be at the forefront of compliance and innovation, which will be attractive to new clients and build continued confidence with existing clients.

What is your favorite pizza topping?

Veggie Supreme. But honestly, I eat any kind of pizza – who can resist?
